Currently in foster in Gig Harbor, WA. Apply at this link! https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-ls-dog-diggity/ (copy/paste link into browser). If you can see this post the dog is available. Meet Bailey! This sweet, fun and goofy 2 year old girl is looking for her forever home with EXPERIENCED adopters who have experience with pit type dogs. She is currently in foster care in Gig Harbor, WA. - house trained - crate trained - spayed - up to date on vaccines - basic obedience She loves the outside, playing fetch, going for walks (with nobody around), laying in the yard, romping around with her furry foster brother. We are still working on her leash reactivity to both dogs and people. Bailey's forever home will need a secure 6 foot fence. In the house, Bailey enjoys sleeping on the couch, in her crate , on a dog bed or at your feet while working. She loves her dog toys and chewing her bone and stuffies and keeps the chewing to appropriate dog things. She alerts to any happenings outside. We are working on cues to let her know when she can stop alerting. Bailey is crate trained - It is her safe place! Bailey with people - she absolutely loves HER humans. She loves to play and cuddle and get belly rubs. She is still learning that other people are safe and can be fear reactive. It takes her time to warm up to people and needs slow and proper introductions, but once she does, she's your best friend. She is a covid dog in that she hasn't had a lot of exposure to other people. She continues to make progress with socialization. She needs a forever home with experienced pit mix owners who are dedicated to working on socializing her at HER pace. Bailey with kids - her human foster brother is her favorite being. Bailey's forever home could include older kids (12+) who are respectful of her and her signals. Bailey with dogs - Bailey and her furry foster brother get along great, but only after a long slow introduction. Bailey needs her space from other dogs on walks and doesn't like her furry foster brother around with high value food and toys. Her foster brother learned to back off around these things which is why they get along. She could go to a home with another dog only with a very experienced owner of multiple dogs, where the other dog is respectful of dog cues and language. She'd also love to be the only dog in a home to get all of the love and attention. After we review your application we'll contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at [email protected] Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heartworm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application-ls-dog-diggity/ This is a post on behalf of L&S Dog Diggity Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless, abandoned dogs and puppies from being euthanized and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where there are people available to open their hearts to a rescue dog. You can contact us directly at [email protected] Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than rescue for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
