About Derby

Meet Derby! He is one awesome dog! Young 1.5 year old 60 lb neutered hunk. He absolutely LOVES kids and all people. He is super dog friendly. He doesn't even react if a dog goes after him. He is so chill. He is a hefty big boy and currently is pretty strong on the leash but he is already improving! And the harness does wanders. He will sit on command. He has been literally covered in twenty plus kids all at the same time and just was in heaven in the animal shelter school day visit from the local community where he came from in SC. He did test positive for heartworm so we have already begun the treatment to cure that. He has no sign or symptoms. The rescue completes treatment here at no charge. The pet can be adopted any time and go home. He would just have to come back for three shots. He is such a good boy and would make a great companion dog or emotional support dog for an adult or a special needs child or just a regular family! He is one of my Favs !
