About Roger 162D

Adoption Fee: $500
Great Dane
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Location: Thornton CO (Age: 1) Colorado Roger is a great boy, he's huge in size as well as personality. He has lots of great things about him, he's gentle and very kind and loving, he knows the word 'NO' pretty good., pretty much any other command is out the window. He has been working on simple commands such as sit, down, or off and no paws. He loves to be loved on and attention OMG he loves the attention. He follows his foster mom EVERY WHERE . He is definitely a Velcro Dane. He finally enjoys his food. He is fed twice a day dry and 1/2 can wet food. At Dinner he gets a vegetable medley as well. His foster mom has been working hard to get him to put on weight. He will go out side and potty but he does not necessarily tell you this on his own, you either have to go outside with him after eating and at a minimum every couple hours just like a puppy. At times the door is left open and the other dogs he is living with become teachers. He is not treat motivated so we praise a lot and tell him good boy. Roger seems to be good with dogs, but is still pretty skittish around them if something scares him. If they growl or bark even in a playful way, he gets scared and will avoid them. His foster mom has been working on this quit a bit because he has foster brothers he lives with and is learning to play with them. He is slowly getting this figured out. At this time he is not good with kids, He would not hurt them but he is very scared of them and their loudness and fast movements. His forever home needs to be with people who can help him get over this and be patient with him. If that is not the case he needs to be in a much quieter home. It will just take time for him to be more comfortable and not scared. He has already come a long way. He walks pretty good on a leash, still needs some training but has a good start. He does not like to ride in a vehicle. His foster mom has been trying to take him on short rides while making sure it is pleasant for him. He is not kennel trained and probably needs to be at this time because he does chew a lot. They are also working on getting use to the kennel. He loves to play and has zoomies quiet often and it seems like the whole house is coming down...HAHA. He is very loved and very happy, much much better than how he was when he was first rescued. He will start going to a training class next week to help with some of his behavior issues. He will make someone a very loveable and loyal companion especially with time and training. ======================================================== To apply to adopt me, please visit https://saverockythegreatdane.org/adopt
