About Manny

Meet my big, sweet, clumsy, goofy foster�'�|I give you Manny the Man! Right now he is enjoying the pampered life! He loves being indoors and getting to lay on the couch (with his head on a pillow, of course!). The soft cushioning has allowed him to learn that he also enjoys rolling onto his back with all 4 feet in the air! He has the best and biggest upside down sleeping smile, too! BIG boy of 75 pounds with the most beautiful expressive eyes that matched the color of his coat. Manny is being fostered at a house with a crazy family and pack of equally crazy dogs. The beagle is his best buddy and they tussle around and wrestle and play. They steal each other's toys! He is unsure what to do with the jealous little chihuahua. Manny is un-phased by these antics, so he just licks Mr. Beans in the face. (Manny's tongue is bigger than Mr. Beans ! ) He is learning that toys are fun, but he is often spastic and uncoordinated trying to play with them�'�|which is hilarious to watch. He is coming out of his shell more and more each day. In addition, another fun fact about Manny, he has a good set of lungs�'�|he has a big, loud and booming voice that he uses when he wants your attention. He also makes weird, high-pitched whines and yips! It's quite funny! A true 'chow hound' Mr. Man is definitely food motivated. He loves meal time and will eat very fast, so he now has a great slow-feeder bowl which slows him down a bit. He is submissive during meal time and if that silly Mr. Beans approaches while he is still eating, he just backs away quietly and lets Beans check things out. Big gentle boy! Manny has a fenced yard and he enjoys spending time in it; with his size a 5ft+ is needed. He knows to potty outside and will need a family to take him out regular to continue his house breaking routine. He also enjoys laying outside on our deck just relaxing or watching the squirrels play. Manny would do well in a home where he has at least one other doggie playmate. I'm sure he would be fine with kids, but due to his sheer size I would not suggest small children (he doesn't know his size and power so I have to be careful when he plays with Mr. Beans). He gets excited and paws and could unintentionally hurt him. He has not been tested with cats. Do you have a large couch? Enjoy being licked in the face? Love to see positive transformation? Like to be active, but then curl up on that big couch for a nice nap? If so�'�|Mr. Manny could be just the big hulking sugar lump that your life has been missing! Some things for Manny are still new and he is cautious. He is a diamond in the rough and will make an excellent companion for the person who can give him love and continue training and exposing him to new and unique situations while providing positive reinforcement.
