About Apollo

Male GSD just turned 3 yrs old. Owner surrendered and with a foster family at this time. Apollo was kept in a cage too small for him to stand up in for at least the last year. He was only taken out of the cage for potty breaks. He knows basic commands and is learning boundaries while roaming in the house during the day. He is potty trained and is not destructive.he does guard his food and water but is getting better at letting the family near him when he eats. He sleeps in his crate at night d/t he does not like our cats at all. He is learning socialization with people and other dogs now. He has great potential to be a best friend to someone who is willing to train and provide consistent rules, love and direction. He has met children and does well with 10 and above bc he is a little rambunctious and a clumsy bouncy sort when he is excited. Hopefully his neuter will help him settle down on the intensity level. His neuter date is 9/15/21. He is heartworm neg and up to date on his shots. He walks well on a leash and loves to chase a ball. He needs a fenced yard. He has met some dogs his size and wants to be the boss. He tends to intimidate/dominate smaller dogs. He would do well with an owner who has large dog experience.
