Do you love the energy and playfulness of a puppy, but prefer a full-sized, housebroken dog? This gorgeous hunk of St Bernard is all that and more!�%A0 Meet Benjamin, an almost 5 year old neutered male who just wants his own private retreat: a large privately fenced yard to bounce and play in, a calm, cool home to lounge and hang out, and a family for him to love on. Benny does have separation anxiety, so a work from home set up or providing doggy day care would be best. Because of his size and love of chasing, wrestling, stand up bear hugs, and rough play, NO cats, NO small dogs, and NO children under 12. Benny is crate trained, prefers to eat and sleep there, and will go in on command given the right incentive (cheese is a favorite). Breed experience is a MUST. Benjamin requires a firm, but patient handler willing to continue his leash training. He already knows sit, give�%A0paw, wait at the door, and he lies down for you to wipe his paws. Benny is also a fantastic catch - especially frozen berries! He really wants to please and asks no more than to be with his people. Benny can be unsure of new things, but after he's checked them out to his satisfaction, he approaches everything with maximum exuberance. This guy plays hard and naps hard! After an hour of running, bouncing, and doing the saintly bunny hop, Benny comes inside to sleep a couple hours and recharge. Come evening, this fun loving guy turns into a big ol snuggle bug. He loves nothing more than to sit with you and be your lap Saint. Benny is neutered and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. He came to the rescue with heartworms but is now rid of those nasty parasites. Benjamin is currently in a foster home in the Atlanta GA area. We do adopt out-of-state but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up. Out of respect for our foster family's time and privacy, we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an application on file. She is UTD on vaccines and heartworm prevention.
