About Snowy

Adoption Fee: $400
Siberian Husky mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

[PENDING MEET&GREET. Contact to be added to waiting list] [Previous husky experience required] Snowy is a smaller size husky mix weighing about 35 lbs, estimated to be 2.5 yrs old, average energy, potty trained and crate trained. She is super affectionate with people once she gets to know you, will grab your hand with her paw to ask for pets. She likes to go on walks, and then nap next to her human and get belly rubs. She enjoys getting other dogs to chase her at dog parks. However, she gets anxiety during car rides which makes her nauseous and drool a lot. She is also good around cats at her foster homes.. .. .. What we are looking for in her forever home: (1) She can be a single dog, as long as her socialization needs are met (2) Someone home all the time or away for only 3-4 hours, or able to send her to day care if away all day (3) Able to exercise her taking for walks (4) In the Greater Seattle area, as she doesn't handle long car rides well (5) Must have owned and raised huskies before (6) We have been training her to help with counter surfing habits, food drive, pulling on the leash to get to something she's set her mind on etc; new owners must be able to continue training her.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. [Backstory] She was found dumped by her owners after she gave birth to a litter of puppies, in the country of Lebanon. She was left in front of a shelter volunteer's house on a rainy day, looking sad, confused, covered in dirt and suffering from an ear infection. She was then taken under the care of Mount Lebanon dog shelter ( https://instagram.com/mtlebanondogshelter ) who vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped her. I brought her here to Seattle to find a forever home that understands the stubborn husky breed and give her a life she deserves.. .. .. If you'd like to make her family, please contact me to plan a meet and greet.. .. .. .. Please be sure to read up on the husky breed. See this link below for some basic facts about Siberian Huskies, such as History, Health, Personality, Exercise, Grooming needs: https://www.huskyhavenfl.org/about-the-breed .. .. .. If you have children at home, they should be at least 8 years or above to be considered for adoption. We think families with younger children will likely not have the time needed to exercise and nourish a new husky. And the time needed to train little kids to safely interact with dogs, read their body language and respect their space. The age requirement is for everyone's safety :-) .. .. .. Her adoption fee is as listed and will be donated to the shelter to cover her vet care costs.. .. .. Thank you for considering to adopt her! God bless!
