About Charcoal

This dapper gentleman is Charcoal. He is a 12ish year old dachshund weighing about 15 pounds, neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. Charcoal is good with other dogs, is mostly house trained when kept on a strict schedule and does not enjoy a crate. He takes a bit of time to get used to new people, but once he does, he becomes your shadow and constant companion. Being 12, Charcoal does have some medical challenges - he has a grade 4 heart murmur, has an oranasal fistula from the poor dental care he received before coming to rescue (he has had a recent dental), and may be hard of hearing because he can startle easily.
