About Hazel

Meet Hazel This cutie patootie with ears like the Flying Nun is amazing!!! She is thought to be about six months of age. By our best guess she looks to be a beagle/doxie mix. She is small in size at about 25 lbs. She has an incredibly sweet personality. In addition to her gigantic and expressive ears, she has intelligent and earnest eyes, a beautiful tri-colored coat with ticking and a tail that never stops wagging. Hazel has a lot of energy and loves to run. She will need a containment fence to keep her happy and safe. Our trainer is working with her on her leash manners and helping her focus. Once she settles down, she loves to snuggle and will crawl into your lap. She's crate trained, loves dogs and cats and grew up in a household with three kids. She loves kids! She rides great in a car and likes to go places. She is up for adventures. For such a young dog, Hazel is full of confidence. She is social and has a curious nature. She loves exploring and finds joy in so many things - good food, good toys, good people, good pillows and good doggie playmates. She will make for a terrific companion and family dog. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
