About ALPINE

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE YOU RESPOND. A lady on Next Door reached out to our rescue partner and asked if she could help 2 kittens. They were found in a bush alone in Lawndale, Ca. ALPINE and BISHOP are brothers. ALPINE came out of his shell later. ALPINE is now a sweet, friendly kitten. He will come to you for pets and to be held once he gets comfortable. He is a very laid back kitten. Your welcome to go visit him at PETSMART! Do call to make sure the volunteers are there! ALPINE is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / MACKEREL TABBY MIX. He is about 10 months old and is good with cats and dogs. In his foster home, he was around other kittens and older cats. He has never been around children. ALPINE is currently located at PETSMART in Palm Desert, Ca off Monterey Avenue. APRIL 2022: With all the needed social distancing, we are still doing adoptions. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. Please note that it is totally up to the volunteers if they are comfortable with allowing you in the cattery. (COVID). Steps 1-5 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Request Online Application 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 7. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. The 1st way (THE BEST AND FASTEST WAY) is to apply on OUR ONLINE APPLICATION form. The 3rd way is to go to one of the 3 PETSMARTS and SCAN the flyer (located all over the windows in front of the cattery) with the ONLINE APPLICATION. Meet and greets will take place at the Petsmart location where the cat is or any of the 3 Petsmart locations listed BELOW if the cat is at a foster / rescue home. Gas donations always appreciated! It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
