About Benny

Border Collie mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

We adopted Benny from the Humane Society in September 2017. When they rescued him he was covered in burrs and was about 45 lbs. He was on his local shelter's euthanasia list. Fast forward four years and he is a healthy 70 pounds (he could probably be about five pounds less healthy) and has been an absolute delight. He is the chillest dog I've ever been around. The last four years he's been a 'city' dog (mostly indoors) and he loves this lifestyle, but he also loves to play outside. His favorite activities are crawling into your lap and falling asleep on his back. He looks like a border collie, but I think he's way more shepherd. My 5-year-old twins have grown up around him, so he's really wonderful with children and he's pretty great with other dogs too so long as he is the alpha...he barks and growls at the neighbor's male poodle through the chain link fence. He'sbeen around 3 different puppies and an adult mini schnauzer (his best friend). He also gets along well with our cat. We're looking for a new forever home for this ultra-chill pup. Please let me know if you have questions. Adoption fee will be donated to RescueMe!.
