Her adopter must agree to not change her name!! She responds to and recognizes her name. How do we begin to tell you about this incredibly SPECIAL girl? Candy came to us with medical issues and had a full bi-lateral mastectomy of both her right and left chains of mammary glands (2 major surgeries). Her demeanor throughout all of her vet visits and her recovery has been nothing but gentle, loving, happy and sweet. I cannot stress enough how special this dog is. She HAD medical issues that we hope someone will overlook and will give her a chance to have her own forever home. When you look at her photos, you will recognize that Candy is always smiling. Candy was obviously used as a breeder dog and given her exceptional temperament and happy nature, it explains the multiple litters of puppies. We absolutely despise that she endured that but Candy is a natural nurturer and she oversees all of the small pups and corrects them when needed! She is especially protective of the kittens in the home. Candy is like everyone's favorite auntie! There are no health guarantees on any dog that comes into our lives.
