About Candy

If you drive around a lot, travel in your car for work, and would love an amazing (cuteness bonus) traveling compainion, let's introduce you to Candy. When not zippin' around in a 4-wheeled vehicle, Candy likes to lay on the opposite side of the couch when people are around. Candy doesn't understand the word stranger and loves everyone she meets. She will greet everyone with her big, huge, happy smile! A home with plenty of time around people is perfect for Candy. She likes daily walks and meeting 'those strangers' with a happy smile and tail-a-waggin'. Candy doesn't need a home with a fence as she prefers being inside with her family. So as long as the family gets her out several times a day for her daily socialization and time to 'chat with the neighbors' she is good to go. Candy doesn't have any 2-legged siblings in her foster home, but has met kids on her walks and enjoys getting polite pets and affection. She loves being petted! She would do well with another dog as long as the other dog was submissive, and she doesn't love when other dogs get in her face too fast. She is selective with her friends. She enjoys playing in spurts with her foster sibling who is very high energy dog but also isn't afraid of telling her when she is done playing. She can definitely be the bossy one. Candy would also be fine as an only dog as long as she had plenty of time with her family. In addition, to the foster dog, Candy lives with a foster kitty. If the cat runs, Candy has chased her but does not try to mouth her. She mostly just ignores the cat. Candy isn't high energy and is happiest hanging out with her family. She does kinda fit the 'coach potato' description really well. In all honesty, she is a people loving pup and really enjoys being with her peeps! Candy is house trained and is learning crate training. She is smart and obedient and food/treat motivated. She does have a bit of Bulldog stubborness; isn't that part of their charm?? Candy is also good on a leash and walks nicely. Candy does not like sharing her toys and food with her foster sibling, so keep your paws of my tasty treats and play things or else Candy is going to get a crabby...wink, wink! She is a 4-year-old, 64lb female Bulldog mix. So any Bulldog lovers, put in your application for cute Candy, today! As part of Candy's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Candy is heartworm negative.
