About Kilo

What's up? I'm Kilo. I am a 2 yr old English Bulldog mix and I weigh 68 lbs. My owners decided they didn't have time for a dog and they were going to take me to the pound. I was very lucky that my foster dad agreed to take me in and get me neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Now I am ready to find a new home. I am a very friendly boy who likes lots of cuddles and belly rubs. I get along with other dogs and I adore children. I love to go for walks and I am great on a leash! One of the characteristics of Bulldogs that attracts people is our 'smushy faces' and wrinkles. As endearing as our appearance is, it is important to understand that because we have shortsnouts we have a compromised breathing system. This means that we cannot control our body temperatures as well as other dogs and therefore cannot handle really hot or really cold temperatures very well. We also need to be walked with harnesses so nothing pulls on our necks. My wrinkles also need to be cleaned daily to prevent irritation and infection. I have not had any potty accidents in the house so it seems like I am house-trained but I would appreciate you giving me a little time to get to know my surroundings and our daily routine. I have no health concerns at this time, but please keep in mind that Bulldogs are high-maintenance breeds and caring for us can sometimes be expensive.
