About Arlo

Arlo is a handsome young Australian Cattle Dog mix believed to be about nine months old. He's a bit shy at first but warms up quickly, has a very sweet disposition and a heeler's curiosity. He's neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Arlo loves to run, chase lizards, cuddle, give kisses, counter-surf, chase a ball, and play fetch. He also loves to chew on his Kong toy and play with stuffed animals. Arlo knows how to sit, walk well on a leash, and keep all 4 paws on the floor while being petted. He does have herding instincts and likes to push a big ball around the yard but with a soft mouth. He's crate- and house-trained, but like many puppies can get super-excited when let out of his kennel and this can cause an accident. He has also mastered the doggie door. Arlo would benefit from more socialization and obedience training. He doesn't have any food aggression but hasn't yet learned how to share his toys and let other dogs have their way (bossy boy), but he will be a great addition to an on-the-go household that understands herding puppy needs and can help him become the best Arlo he can be! Arlo is currently fostered in the Jacksonville area and his adoption fee is $400.
