About Maverick

Hi, I'm Maverick! A 2 year old, goofy, 40 lb Husky mix! I was rescued by the HIT Living Foundation from the shelter where I was dumped and on the euthanasia list for injuries I had sustained. I had multiple puncture wounds on my head and face, my snout was swollen, and I had lacerations inside mouth. I can't exactly remember what happened with my old humans, but all I know is that I am glad to still be here searching for my new beginning. Despite being in pain, the shelter workers fell in love with me and said that all I wanted was pets and love through my kennel. Since I've been out of the shelter, I've been in a foster home with THREE(!) other Huskies and OMG I love my new siblings! They've been teaching me how to play, walk, and have been teaching me how to play with toys! My foster parents say that I am a total sweetheart and gentleman. I crave attention and all I want is affection. I know my breed is known to be a handful, and although I do love walks, I also love hanging and lounging on the couch with my humans. I would do best in a home with a yard or who can provide me with enough exercise and cuddles. I'm great with other dogs and have gotten along best with females and other submissive males.
