PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. No young children. 2. Needs another doggy buddy. 8 year old male Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix, about 11 pounds. Special young senior seeks committed adopter! Momo had a rough start in life, but he is ready to put the past behind him and find the perfect forever home. Momo is a shy guy and takes time to warm up to new people. Once he is comfortable, he demands lots of cuddles and affection. He enjoys trips to the beach to look for barnacles, walks in the park, and using his puppy dog eyes to beg for snacks. Mo has the perfect level of energy--he is up for a walk or adventure and then ready to relax on the couch at home. Momo would like to have another dog that he can snuggle with and lie on top of--he knows no boundaries with his canine friends. He has not been cat tested. No small children, please. Momo can stay in his crate during the day, but prefers to sleep in bed at night. Momo has had extensive medical care to get him ready for adoption, but he still has a chronic medical issue, due to the neglect he suffered in the past. He will need regular maintenance of his anal glands to prevent infection, so his adopter should be prepared for that. Earn Momo's trust, and you will have a feisty little friend for life! COVID UPDATE: All adoptable dogs can be met privately with an appointment with their foster parents. Adoption events are on hold for the foreseeable future. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay/neuter appointments. If you live within a four-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, we will ask you to make an appointment to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
