About Oswald

Oswald has been part of our family for 8 years and can be a fantastic companion. For an Australian Shepherd his energy level is on the lower end, and while he does have some herding instincts, they are more mild. Lived with a group of small dogs for a few years with little to no issue (one of the small ones demanded to be the alpha.. unsuccessfully - squabbles, but no injuries), and gets along well with most kids and adults; although he can be picky at times. House broken and knows how to use a doggie door, but does not like being kenneled. We have never successfully kenneled him, but haven't had the need, due to him not getting into or destroying anything in the house while we are asleep or out of the house. There's two reasons why we are looking to rehome him: My wife and I no longer have the space or time to properly take care of him due to lots of changes these past couple years.. we've been trying, but it's too much and unfair to Oz. We also now have a 2yo, and while they get along at times, it's not always consistent. He gets along with kids, but has limited patience.. which is understandable considering we are now in a 1x1 apartment with no where for Oswald to 'escape' to. Ideally, we would rehome him to an active couple as he loves to go on walks and we used to take him on hikes often. But would also do well with a family providing he has the space and a yard to be a dog. Text me with any questions, and any concerns that you may have.
