About Mac

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Mac is a very sweet, non-aggressive little 15 pound dog. He is mostly deaf, but does not seem to notice. He likes being with people and is not keen on being outside alone for long alone.He will stay outside all day with his person! He has had dental issues in the past,but all have been addressed. He needs a lot of love, and needs a schedule. He likes to be crated at night or when left alone. He is not a big eater. He is good with adults and children and only barks if left outside alone after he completes his business. He needs a family who is home a good bit and can follow his schedule. He has a small bladder and needs to be let out frequently during the day, but can hold it overnight in the crate. A fenced in back yard is helpful. Professional grooming is helpful every few months as his hair grows over his eyes. He loves to be loved. He was adopted four years ago from a local shelter and at the time had extensive injuries. All have healed with medical attention and love, and he is a happy, healthy dog who needs an at home family. He has had all of his shots and medical care as scheduled and is up to date on all. When he was adopted, his owners were home most of the day and had children at home, but his owners now have to work extensively outside of the home and must travel frequently for work, and the owner's children are now grown, which is not best for Mac as he has to be boarded frequently or have a sitter come in and out of the house to care for him. The owners would love to keep him, but this is not a good situation as he is not a dog who likes to be alone extensively. Mac is a very very sweet dog who needs a good, loving, caring, at home family who will love him.
