Available for adoption Nashville TN Gracie is a quiet, 18 month old great dane girl with soulful eyes. This extremely sweet girl is shy meeting new people, especially men so she will need a patient family who will continue to socialize her and build her confidence. Breed experience is a plus. Gracie will bark to let you know that someone is at the door but otherwise very quiet. She is obedient and listens to commands well. She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come and understand 'No' very well. She's a quick learner and eager to please you. *Kids: She came from a home with young kids and did well *Cats: Not interested. a bit intimidated *Dogs: Good with male dogs. No female dogs to be safe as she and the other intact female in her previous home didn't get along. *Fence: Would offer Peace of mind, but she likes to stay close. *House trained: Yes, with frequent potty outings *Leash Trained: Yes. walks well on transitional leash without any pulling. *Crate Trained: Yes, walks in happily and sleeps through the night or if we go out for dinner. *Food: Zero Aggression. Bfast / lunch / dinner, a great eater. Very soft mouth when taking treats but she will swipe accessible food if it's left out & available. *Play: loves a tennis ball , enjoys short outdoor play sessions but much prefers the indoors, short romps are all she is interested in. LOVES: *Long Naps *Her person/people *Ice *Indoor life *car rides *Tractor chase *tennis balls and stuffed animals. *NEEDS Intensive cuddles *NEEDS to stand on her hind legs and hugs for 5 min at a time, paws on shoulders, gripping. *NEEDS to bury her nose into you FEARS: *garden hose *men *Quick movements *Very Mild separation anxiety TALENTS: *Good Table manners, *Opens door w/ pressing nose *Drinks from water dispenser on refrigerator *Staying close *peaceful into Crate. *Chases tennis ball and returns to drop (tires quickly) Gracie is spayed and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. She is currently in foster home in Nashville TN area. We do adopt out-of-state but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up.
