2YR Male Lakeland Ter Mix, 47 lbs. , Hey Hey Hey Albert here! (2yr old #LakelandTerrier Mix) So I was running footloose and fancy free with my buddy and got scooped by a catch pole! Now I'm set to be put down in the shelter 9/19/2021. I need a Foster and a Recue to save me! Please pledge for a rescue to save me! My buddy that I was sharing a kennel and enjoying yard time with was lucky and got himself adopted, so I'm now alone and a scared I will die in here! Albert has been on the nervous and cautious side with the staff here but eagerly leaves his kennel for yard time with his kennel mate. He would most likely do well with a socialized dog to show him the way. He will need some separation time to decompress before meeting his new pack. Before his buddy got adopted, he was very interested in the petting/attention his buddy was getting and would hang close to handler to see what to see what this human affection thing is all about . It appears Albert isn't too familiar with the leash thing going around his neck but has tolerated it, he will need a patient adult home with a secure yard and his own space inside to give him time until he's ready to fully trust. He just needs to feel safe again, he is starting to come out of his shell at the shelter and recently has been asking for and taking treats from the staff while out in the yard.
