About Grizzly

Grizzly is an 11 year old, male Alaskan Malamute. He has been with my father for most of his life. My dad is no longer doing well and cannot take care of Grizzly like he used to for years. Grizzly's breeder was from Washington state; that is all I know. He wound up near Ulysses, Pa. with an Amish family that did not treat him well, especially the kids. My dad learned of this and bought him to bring him home. Grizzly grew up with Bear, an Akbash, his whole life at my dads. Bear recently had to be put to sleep because of a medical issue and it was clear that Grizzly missed his friend. Grizzly is lonely and loves company, going for walks, milk bones/water and anything different for the most part. His back legs have weakened some in the last few years, he could no longer jump into a car for example, but jumping out is no problem. Grizzly is very energetic and curious. He has almost pulled me over on walks just darting around to check new things out. He knows when someone is treating him nicely and kind and does the same for them. As far as living quarters, Grizzly has lived in a large outdoor pen attached to the garage his whole life. Besides loving the outdoors, he has been able to come into the garage for food/water and shade. There is a small corner pen in the garage as well when he enters. Never really been housebroken. Always did things as he desired. In closing, Grizzly is a cool, awesome guy that needs a new home where he is shown love and can return that love himself. Hopefully, that is very soon for all involved.
