Adoption Fee: $250
German Shepherd

Sex: Male

Foster location: Kuna, ID Breed: German Shepherd Age: 8 months Adoption Fee: $250.00 Neutered, Vaccinated, Microchipped If interested you must fill out an Adoption Application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Cody is a strong energetic 8-month-old clumsy, goofy puppy that loves playing in the water. He came to Fuzzy Pawz when his family realized they could not give him the attention he greatly needs. Since being in a foster home, Cody has learned some basic commands; leave-it, sit, down, and working on stay; he will patiently sit and wait for you to say 'ok' before eating. The sky is the limit for this boy with a little work. We strongly recommend a puppy class for Cody; it will keep up his socialization and it's a great way to bond with him! He is house [paws at door to be let out] and crate trained - sleeps great throughout the night. He loves car rides and is great to take on outings! Cody is learning how to live with dogs and is currently living with [2] other large breed dogs. He has not yet figured out that he is not in charge of the household and voices his opinion very loud and aggressively when one of the other dogs does something he thinks they shouldn't. This is another reason for puppy classes; this boy needs to learn to share and that he can relax and just let everyone do their own thing. He is still learning to walk on a leash and pulls - he puts his priorities above yours! Because of his size, strength, drive and being mouthy - he would do best in a home without small children/dogs and no cats. His new family should have experience with GSD or large breed dogs and a home that provides structure and limits. Cody has the potential to be an outstanding dog with diligent training and guidance since he can be quite stubborn. He is not a dog that can be left alone for hours at a time - his energy and drive will result in destructiveness. He will need an active family that can give him a lot of exercise more than once a day - this is NOT a play in the backyard dog. Cody needs daily walks/runs, hikes, bike rides, etc.
