About Franklin

Cat's Health Status : Franklin has a history of bladder stones & obesity which have been treated with a special diet. Medical records are attached. I am happy to take him back to the vet if need be by a potential adopter. As I stated above, I really want him to go to a good forever home. Location : Philadelphia, PA - Franklin HATES the car so to minimize stress I would prefer him to go within 10 miles of 19128. (Montgomery County, Chester County, Delaware County, or Philadelphia) Personality : Franklin is extremely loving and cuddly, but he is a 'one' person cat. We are a two person household that is hopefully growing (we want kids) and he is only attached to me which is typical of siamese. Franklin would love to sleep on you all day if you allow him to, he is not super playful, but will follow you all over the house.His vice is when he is not getting enough attention he acts out and is vocal about it. He talks as typical siamese cats do and is not afraid to tell you he is hungry or wants attention. He also will mark his territory if he feels threatened, so ideally the household he ends up in is a quiet/ slow paced home. Franklin is very respectful of the kitchen counter, will not jump on tables, but loves a good lap to snuggle on. He loves to be touched and loves his belly rubbed. Franklin is being put up for adoption because our house has too much commotion for him and he is easily stressed around guests. Also we just got married and are talking about kids and already know that Franklin will not be a fan of this. We also have another dog and cat that he adores but will get jealous of. Habits : Franklin is generally good about the litter box but when he is stressed or has an active bladder stone he misses his pan or inappropriately urinates. We try our best to keep his litter pan fresh and clean and leave minimal clutter laying around to encourage him to use the litter pan. We live in a fully hardwood home and believe franklin would be best in a house with only hard flooring. Franklin is on a prescription diet to treat his bladder stones (Hill's Prescription Diet s/d Urinary Care). Franklin loves a scratching post but would never scratch/bite a human. He also doesn't love a bath but will allow me to bathe him. Ideal home : Franklins ideal home would be a one or two person ADULT household with not many guests. Preferably someone who is home a lot, either works from home or is retired, and has the time to play, pet, and brush him. Ideally this household would not have other pets but as stated above, he currently lives with a small dog and another siamese cat that he does get along with but would likely thrive more as an only cat so he could have all of the attention. If your current pet is also quiet and sleepy he/she would be a good match for franklin.
