About Scrappy

Meet Scrappy, an adorable two-year-old, 48 lb. shepherd/chow chow mix (our best guess). This sweet boy has not had a very good start to his life...he was recently brought to the shelter in North Carolina with his brother Jax (already adopted) after their owner was evicted. It was discovered that they didn't come from a very good situation as they were kept stuffed in a small crate, which is where they spent a majority of their time. Scrappy is now ready to start his next chapter here in Connecticut where he is now in a loving foster home. This handsome boy takes some time getting used to new environments and people but once he does, he's the absolute sweetest dog! He loves his toys, cuddling with his people, and running around the yard. Scrappy is friendly with everyone he meets - other pups, cats, and even small children. He is very gentle and well mannered. He'll make an ideal family dog! Scrappy walks well on a leash and is even house and crate trained! He doesn't chew on things and can be left alone for a few hours without making a peep. You could not ask for a better dog! He must go to a home with a fenced yard. His adoption fee is $350 and Scrappy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
