About Josie

Josie is a one year and 1/2 old darling Bengal cat (just 7.5 lbs), who we originally rescued from West Jordan Animal Control. Josie went immediately to Foster and shortly after, her Foster decided to adopt her. She has been an absolute delight and her family loves her dearly. They didn't expect this but they ended up retiring early and have started traveling, leaving Josie at Park City Pet Resort. She is of course spoiled rotten there - but they feel like she needs to be in a family that will have plenty of time for her, and lots of companionship. Josie LOVES other cats. We would love for Josie to be adopted by a family that has another cat and potentially even a friendly dog (she currently shares her home with a mellow Yorkie / Miniature Schnauzer. She could do well with children aged 10 and up, who have been taught proper handling techniques. She is such a loving and social girl, with so much energy. We hope to find her a family that is as busy as she is! Josie is harness / leash trained and she loves to talk. She is always happy to tell her humans what she needs, and when she needs it! She lets her humans know when she is in the mood for cuddles, and attention. Josie is a climber - she loves tall cat trees, scratching posts and other 'up high' vantage points. She loves paper bags, feather toys and small balls and mice. She loves to zip around the house and really loves being chased. She is extremely curious so any cabinet door or drawer that is partially open, she will get into. While she definitely doesn't appreciate strangers picking her up, Josie does allow her humans to pick her up and carry her. Josie is definitely a door-darter, so her new family will have to be careful not to let her escape. We're hoping a busy family will keep her entertained and help curb her desire to go outside.
