About Maizey Daisy

Update: A nice dog-loving woman came over for a meet-and-greet. Maizey barked and did not approach the stranger during the half hour visit. Which tells us that placement will need to be done over multi-visit introductions with an experienced dog owner. It will take her time to bond with a new person. She is very loyal, bonding strongly with one person in the household. She can be quirky in new situations, yet is an adorable soft-coated shaggy collie mix who weighs about 40 lbs. She is spayed, house and crate trained, rides well in a car. Loves dog toys, fetching, LOVES SWIMMING, enjoys boating and being near her person. Gets along well with most dogs. Best placed in a home without cats or children. Sweet disposition yet can be very stand-off ish around strangers. Slowly warms up with positive reinforcement and treats (this may take a while). Fenced yard required. Adoption will be focused on finding a well-matched home rather than on a first-come basis. Will refund adoption fee and take her back should it not work out in the new home. Pet care is available (if needed) when you are away on vacation etc. Home visit before placement in or around Boise Idaho. No out of state adoption. Will remove post once she finds a well-matched home.
