About McKinley

Do you love to hike, run and be outdoors? McKinley is an active boy looking for a family to go on adventures with! Meet McKinley, he is a 1 year old Shepard mix who currently weighs around 45 pounds. He is a slender guy, and could use another 5-10 pounds. No worries though because this boy loves to eat! Since coming up from AL, he has been exploring his foster home and settling in. He is great with the other dogs in the home whether they are calm or rambunctious. McKinley is very smart as well, he knows sit and comes when called. This boy is also a perfect dog model, he doesn't take a bad photo and always has those adorable ears perked up. In AL they said he loves water and that was evident by giving him a bath. No fear of the bath tub here, he thinks water is the best! When he is ready for a nap he is happy to curl up on the couch, bed or in his crate and take a snooze. He is house trained and crate trained. McKinley is up to date on all vaccines, preventatives and neutered. If you are looking for an adventure buddy McKinley is ready to explore all of the beautiful PA fall foliage with you! Fostered in York, PA while waiting for his forever home. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
