Khal (A229784) gets the nickname Encino Man, because he looks a little different than some dogs and has crazy wild hair, caused by hypothyroidism. For those that aren't familiar with hypothyroidism, it just means Khal's thyroid sucks and doesn't work as well as it should. But that's okay! He gets his daily meds and is still a happy boy! Khal is currently looking for a furever home, foster home, or rescue! Khal is a big, loyal, and protective companion. He doesn't show very well at the shelter, so we suggest anyone interested in adopting him, foster him first to give him time to decompress and show his true personality! Khal is a bit wary of men and does best with women handlers. He is dog friendly and his ideal companion would be a dog of similar size with a calmer personality.
