About Poco Crazy Love

Poco is a neutered male Flat Coated Retriever/Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix born on 1/1/2021. He is a medium sized dog weighing approximately 30 pounds. Poco is a medium energy boy who enjoys a hike, jog or stroll in the country. At home, he is a lap baby who loves to cuddle on the couch. He is yearning for a family to call his own. Could it be yours? This boy is quite shy in new situations. When he is comfortable with you, he is bouncy and fun. He has been very loving and interested in being with people. He has been friendly towards his foster family. He has gotten along well with dogs in his foster home. He has been fine with the cat. Poco suffered an extreme traumatic incident as a young puppy. His litter was dumped by a highway where most were killed in traffic. In an effort to save his life, he was caught using a catch pole (stick with a noose). As a result, he needed rehabilitation to get over fear of things around his neck and fear of road noise. He has done very well, but will always need a gentle, reassuring hand when he is startled or frightened. This early experience has made him a homebody. He likes a home with a reassuring routine. He will need to live in a rural location as he is still not fond of road noise. Poco is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. He has started basic obedience training and is doing very well. Poco is neutered and up to date on vaccinations, worming, heart worm prevention and flea medication. The adoption fee for him is $300.
