About Aster

This little sweetheart is Aster. She has come to us in her golden years seeking a family to spend the remainder of her time with. She is guessed to be around 18 years old and to be honest we thought she would be hospice. However, despite her advanced age Aster is still in fairly good health and pretty active. She gets around good on her own and can even still jump out of the car! She rides great in the car too. She is loving and enjoys to be with you and be petted. She is also happy to curl up on a dog bed, your couch, or freshly washed linens for a refreshing nap. Her previous owner clearly took good care of her as she has been spayed and even had dental work done at some point in her life. We had her checked out by one of our vets and they laughed when they saw how great her bloodwork was, again for her age. She does have a grade 3 heart murmur, a little arthritis in her hips,some impaired vision, and some loss of hearing, but that's about it. Aster is still house trained, just needs a few more potty breaks than she did in her younger years. she still gets excited when she sees a leash. She gets along with calm, well-behaved dogs that are respectful of her age. Due to all of this we decided we would try to find her a home where she can be the bell of the ball for what ever time she has left. How long that is, we cannot say, but we know she deserves to be loved and cared for until that time.
