About SANSON *1 yr old

**HE MUST BE ON A SPEICAL DIET HIS WHOLE LIFE** So this lovely licorice nose is Sanson #A1984711 Available for Private Adoption or Rescue Super cute and very sweet - and a great size too! In June he came in as an owner surrender He had a history of vomiting and weight loss and was very ill. Sadly, the shelter could not care for him. He was going to be euthanized because he continued to weight and he couldn't hold food down. Lucky for Sanson a 'Good Samaritan' and got him the care he needed. Sanson has made a full recovery and is at East Valley feeling good and looking GREAT! Very adoptable now. He is on a special diet that he must continue, but he's doing beautifully and punting on weight and has good energy. When he first came to the shelter, was very scared, shy and not feeling well. Now, he has come out of his shell! He is an affectionate boy - a total Staff favorite!! The shelter had him engage with a fun loving playful dog and it was as if he never played with another dog before! S o he is still learning. Older Volunteer Notes (before seeing a private vet): 7/10/2021 Veronica asked me to take Sanson from medical and let him walk around in a small yard for a while. He was easy to leash and handle. I let go of the leash and he sniffed around the yard, then came to me when I called him and he sat for treats, taking them gently. I returned him to the lobby so he could go back to medical. He's very sweet. 7/11/2021 Sweet, gentle boy. Calm and easygoing. Perhaps had a bit of anxiety, but nothing that kept him from enjoying his time out and being curious Very easy to leash, in and out of the kennel, and walked very well on the leash. No pulling. Gently inquisitive. No treats were offered due to his having a surgery and digestive issues. Sweet, cute little boy. 'Little' because he's so thin....
