About Kaya

Kaya! This sweet approx 1 yr old female pittie mix is everything we love about dogs - happiness that lights up a room, carefree and resilience. We really don't know why Kaya is such a friendly girl, given some of the things she has been through, but we sure are thankful she is and that we are lucky enough to spend time with her. Kaya was found as a stray down south in terrible condition. She had a terribly embedded collar that caused a massive wound on her neck. And yet she was nothing but thankful for the people who found her and cared for her while she recovered... The only thing left as a memory of that time is a scar on her neck that likely will always remain (but hopefully continue to diminish). Kaya loves everyone she meets - whether they be human or canine. She does still have some puppy tendencies particularly when it comes to chewing and is a master at pulling apart tennis balls. She will need a family that will help her learn all the life lessons she may have missed up until now about living in our world. The good thing is she is a keen student willing to please! She is also good in a crate. Kaya is spayed, vaccinated and tested heartworm negative. She is up to date on basic vetting and preventatives. Interested?
