About Sweet Pea

Adopter Needed! Sweet Pea is currently in foster care but in need of a home with a family who will love her so much that it will make up for the past several months of shelter life. It is amazing how Sweet Pea can be such a fantastic dog after experiencing kennel stress. She is way up high on the official BEST DOG scale! The best guess for her age and weight is about 2 years old and 40-45 pounds. She is on the chubby side, but since she loves playing and running around she will shed a few pounds when able to freely frolic in her new home. Let's talk facts. Sweet Pea is incredible, irresistible, amazing, affectionate, and loving. Great butt wiggles, goofy smiles, and bear hugs are part of her every day. She has zero aggression and has relaxed body language even with strangers. Without much background information on her, children in the home must be savvy and at least age 12. Sweet Pea initially felt ok around other dogs, but with stress mounting from a long-term shelter stay, she should be the only pet in the home. It is very possible a super mild mannered, laid back dog could be her new sibling, however. Sweet Pea is GREAT with people, just loves to make new friends. However, she needs an experienced adopter because she doesn't know how to completely be a dog. She really hasn't played with toys or done normal doggy things. A yard for her to 'dog' is preferred.
