About Agnes

Adoption Fee: $200
Rat Terrier mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Pretty, perky, playful, partial to sleeping with her humans, pool loving, and prey driven! That's Agnes! And what's most amazing? This 13-lb. rattie mix is supposed to be 10 years old! Don't tell Agnes though. She's certain that she couldn't be a day over 5! And judging from her health. appearance, and stamina, we're inclined to agree. Aggie may be a bit shy upon first meeting you or any other new people, but she'll quickly warm up and become not only your best friend but very likely your bed partner too. At night, she'll wait for you to get into bed. Then she'll snuggle up to you just as closely as she can, as though she needs to 'plug in' in order to recharge for her next day of adventures. Those adventures are likely to include chasing a ball, running around in your fenced yard ('Please have one,' says Agnes), basking in the sun, and splashing about in a kiddie-size wading pool ('Please have one of these too,' she adds ). Now about that prey drive...Aggie seems to be hardwired to patrol for, chase, and possibly dispatch little critters. While this instinct might be valued by someone with a rodent problem, it will not be appreciated by small pets, including cats and even some dogs. To avoid potential problems, Agnes should probably not go to a home with other pets or young children. Agnes is reliably house-trained, crate trained and good on a leash. Going for long walks is something she would enjoy. Agnes thinks you should adopt her. Since it's not every day that such a pretty, perky, playful pal might come your way, we're inclined to agree. ------------------------------------------------------ IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING AGNES, please go to New Rattitude's website at https://newrattitude.org/adopt/, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application.
