About Odie

Meet Odie! This chunky monkey goofball has two wishes - a happy furever home and a special someone to enjoy his golden years with. Odie is a sweet-as-pie 9-year old, 45-pound neutered male lab mix located in Framingham, MA. He is mellow overall but still fun-loving. He can be wary of new people at first and will need time to warm up to you. He has a heart of gold and endless affection for those fortunate enough to be called his friend. After proper introductions with dogs, he does ok, but he is best as an only pet. Since Odie is sensitive to sudden touching, he should not live with children either. On occasion a back leg bothers him and that's what he's particularly sensitive to. Because of this, he needs someone experienced with dog reactivity, though Odie is very manageable. Odie loves treats, ear scratches, and belly rubs. He also enjoys exploring the great outdoors during walks and does great on leash! Odie is up to date on vaccinations and is not a barker. He would do best in a quiet home. Wrap your arms around his stocky body and let his smile melt your heart. It's unreal how he was dumped by his first family, ready to be euthanized, but taken in by our friends at The Boston Dogtor. They believe in him and so do we because he has plenty of living left and deserves a place to call home where he's not treated like trash.
