Adoption Fee: $150
Mountain Cur
Age: Young Adult

Update: Goldie is doing soooo much better, coming out of her shell and acting like the young, playful dog she should be. Goldie even met a number of new people at Thanksgiving, she wasn't thrilled but she did not hide and cower, and actually took some turkey from some family members she had never met before, now that is progress!! We were very impressed, and she can do the same in her future home. (12/10/21) Goldie came all the way from down south with a crew of tiny pups to find their happily ever afters in Illinois. The pups have all been adopted early this summer and now Mama Goldie is looking for her chance at a new life. Goldie is a sweet and gentle girl, but she is quite fearful and skiddish around new people. It took her a good while to warm up to the people in her foster home, and she still is a little extra cautious of the males in her home. But, she is letting that guard down and we have started seeing the funny, playful and silly side of Goldie. The good news is that Goldie is very lady like, she has great manners and has never had an accident in the house, nor chewed up any furniture or such. She is quiet for the most part, is easily corrected and listens well. Goldie ADORES her dog pals, especially Emmie.I(posted at sparrowdogs.com) They play together all day, with each other, or any of the other foster or boarding dogs that pass thru our doors. She is fine with tiny Chihuahua's or our Great Pyrenees. Goldie is going to do well in a home with another dog-how about Emmie? Emmie's adoption fee has been waived, and we have reduced Goldie's adoption fee for a special family. She really needs the confidence another dog can bring to her. She will need a fenced yard, Goldie is not great on the leash at this point and being so fearful, she would certainly run. We have high hopes a kind hearted, dog savvy family will come along and give Goldie all the love and patience she needs to put her past behind her. We are guessing things were not so great judging from her fearfulness. We recently found out thru a DNA result on one of her puppies she is 100% Mountain Cure!! Goldie is 3-5 years old, a good medium sized girl. Her adoption fee is $199, now $150. Please email Kristine at [email protected]. Applications at sparrowdogs.com.
