Adoption Pending. Koda is in a west valley foster home, he'll turn two in June. He was previously fostered with 4 Huskies before relocating to Arizona. His previous owners allowed their children to climb on him while he was eating, resulting in a bite incident. Koda has shown loyalty to his current foster, but isn't immediately friendly with new people. We've been socializing him and he's shown some huge improvement. We feel Koda would be happiest in an Akita savvy family that enjoys an active lifestyle and without young children or other pets. He's very well behaved, playful, good on leash and car rides. He loves going on walks and exploring, he even trots well beside my bicycle. Koda is all Akita and seems to be very smart. Koda seems to get along with my Akita's, (supervised) but we don't know if that would change once he becomes an adult. Koda can take a while to get to know new people, so you should plan on more than one visit for him to get to know and trust you.
