PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 1. No children under 10 1 year old male Chug, about 10 pounds. Claude came to Smidget Rescue after his owner sadly passed away. This lovable 1 year old pup is full of energy and ready to play but is also down to snuggle in bed all day. Claude loves our kids, happily smothering them with licks and wiggles. He is great at communicating his needs. He wines a little to be let outside and since the moment we've had him, he has had no potty 'accidents'; however, he is not neutered yet. We have other male dogs in our home so Claude does try to let others know it's his home now by 'marking' his territory. I put a belly band on him while inside to deter him. He is incredibly smart and is looking to learn new tricks. The fact that he's very treat motivated helps! He gets along with other dogs. He had a brief moment of figuring out who was 'alpha' in our home but my smaller chihuahua showed him who's boss. He loves being outside and hasn't shown any tendencies towards escaping our fenced backyard. We are working on leash training. If he is not in a fenced yard, he will try to explore! He is fairly quiet but will guard your door from strangers. His bark is mighty when alerting you to possible intruders�'�| even if that scary intruder is actually just your sister! LOL Claude is looking for a family that will give him belly rubs, snuggles, plenty of stuffies to chew on and all of the love they can possibly provide. Children over 10 years old. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
