Bender is 13yrs old. His family lost their home due to COVID. The temporary caregiver took him for an off leash walk in an unfamiliar area and we found him on the side of the road and they declined to come get him so we think he might have been let go of on purpose. Single mom and son are heartbroken and dog is very depressed at the shelter. Loaded easily in the vehicle. Hound/rottie mix per shelter guess. Big guy that has been raised with kids, minimal experience with other dogs. Bender was picked up as a stray in Loudoun County, VA but the owner is in Jessup MD and has no transportation.
