Rescue is all about saving lives and showing the animals what real love is, and Ellie deserves to feel that. She was dumped and left to die. Please take a chance on her, you won't regret it! Meet Ellie, a little girl with all the charm of a true southern belle, Ellie is aged to perfection and is friendly as all get-out. She has learned to use her wily womanly ways to win over even the grumpiest of cats and the feistiest of dogs without getting too big for her britches. At 10 years young, Ellie's foster mom says she is prettier than a peach y'all. I reckon that you could wait till the cows come home or the chickens go to roost before you'll find a better dog. Though she knows it is less than lady-like, Ellie plumb can't resist a good game of fetch, after all, she has been enjoying ball play since she was knee high to a grasshopper. In her more relaxed moods, she enjoys leisurely walks in the cool night air, cuddling up to her human while watching Netflix (Gone with The Wind is a favorite, but she'll let you pick) or just spending time outside sipping on mint julips and chewing the fat. Bless her heart, Ellie has aged gracefully, maintaining an enviable set of pearly white teeth and a shiny chocolate coat. Of course, as is the way with many mature women of a certain age, Ellie has a few miles on her and a little wear and tear in the form of a few lumps and bumps - not uncommon amongst the more mature ladies in her circle. Staying true to her southern belle spirit, Ellie has more loyalty and love than Carter has got little pills. She is a perfect companion and such a great side kick. She�%A0is up to date on vaccines according to age, has received proper deworming, and comes with additional dewormer if needed. This pet is microchipped, spayed, comes with 2-6 months of Heartworm preventative, and one month free trial of pet insurance if registered by adopter with insurance company. All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health.) Our transports are USDA certified and the cost of transport is included in adoption fee! She may currently be fostered in Houston, Tx but will be traveling to the PNW as soon as she finds her perfect home or may be traveling to a foster in the PNW soon.
