About MONA

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFO BEFORE YOU RESPOND. MONA was named after the Mona Lisa because of her serious, intent nature. She can be shy at first, but when she gets to know you she is very sweet. Her favorite thing is to be scratched behind the ears and under the chin. MONA will need a very patient human. She needs a quite older human with PURE love. Her picture shows her inner beauty. MONA has been a phenomenal mother to her kittens. She had two babies of her own and became an amazing mother to three additional babies that were orphaned. She has been a selfless mother to all 5 kittens and is now ready to be the center of attention for a loving human caretaker. MONA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO. She is about 3 years old and is good with all cats. She doesn't really care to be around dogs. She will tolerate children but prefers her own space. MONA is currently located at PETSMART in Murrieta, Ca off Madison Avenue. APRIL 2022: With all the needed social distancing, we are still doing adoptions. VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at Petsmart between 9 - 10 am to 12 pm - 1 pm. Please note that it is totally up to the volunteers if they are comfortable with allowing you in the cattery. (COVID). Steps 1-5 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Request Online Application 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 7. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Meet and greets will take place at the Petsmart location where the cats/kittens is currently located at. The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will do Meet and greets at any of the 3 Petsmart locations listed below. Gas donations always appreciated! It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats/kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $175 covers: Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
