About Reese

Reese is a 9 year old plott hound mix. My sister has had her since she was a puppy, and she is really a great dog. Unfortunately she is not great with children, my sister now has two kids under 2... They have tried to push through because they didn't want to give her up but her behavior towards them is aggressive and the situation has become desperate. She is a great dog around adults and older children and is happy to lay in her bed or snuggle up on the couch next to you. She is spectacular off the leash and doesn't try running away at all (loves to go hiking or for a walk around the neighborhood). She listens very well, knows plenty of commands, does not bark or chew. She isn't dog aggressive but wouldn't say she loves other dogs either, happy to meet them in passing but prefers her own space. She does absolutely prefer and handle male dogs much easier. She can be a little nervous and fearful but with love and patience she is a wonderful companion. I just want to find her a home where she can be happy and not locked up and away due to her fear/aggression towards the kids. Spend the rest of her years in a loving home where she can get the attention she deserves and roam freely.
