About Azkaban

My name is Azkaban and I'm part of the Harry Potter themed OPH transport. I'm guessed to be a 1.5 year old chocolate lab mix. I'm a sweet boy, I currently weigh about 50lbs. My foster family calls me Buddy because I just want to be your best friend. I stick close to my foster mom on walks and follow her lead. I have had some leash training and I will continue to work on heel. I don't need to walk far to go potty, but I do like walking around the yard or relaxing in the grass on a nice day. Sometimes I just want to soak in the sun. I'm doing well with my house training and I haven't had any recent accidents. I LOVE treats! I will sit, lay down and come when called for treats and I am working on other commands. I can even bring you my water bowl when I am thirsty! I like kids, especially when they drop a few snacks my way. I had a great time hanging out with my foster mom's nieces, the youngest is 6. I'm currently living with my foster family and their 3 dogs who range in size from 28 lbs to 70 lbs. I love playing with the other dogs, but I'm looking for a family to call my own. Could that with you? If so apply today! I can't wait to meet you! (This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Azkaban is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been neutered. He is best in a home without cats, is best in a home without small children, and is not suitable in an apartment, condo or other urban setting. Azkaban is currently being fostered in Boyds, MD. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Davidsonville, MD for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville. This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner.
