About Sadie

Hi, I'm Sadie! I am a 5-year-old boxer mix who loves to snuggle. I'm pretty outgoing but it takes me some time to totally relax in new situations. I get along with other dogs but I'm not really into playing with them. I like to play with toys but my most favorite activity is watching and following my people around the house or yard. Although I am not that interested in taking walks, I am learning how to walk on a leash. I get excited when new people arrive but I'm working on my manners and trying hard not to jump. I usually only make one jump on people but I guess once is too many times. I like snacks and I am quick to sit and wait for a treat. Recently, I have joined in with the dog pack for yard squirrel duty. I like to alert my foster family when the UPS or mail person comes into our yard by giving a few barks tossed in with a howl. I'm kennel and house-trained and I know sit, come, down, but I'm still struggling with stay. I just want to follow my people around and be ready for a snack or pet or lap to lay in. All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Wichita, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. We do allow out of state adoptions, however qualified in state applications will be given preference. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog based on the dogs needs.
