Hey there, I have a bit of a situation I need some help with. I have an 18 month old red nose pit/lab mix that needs a placement. She is super sweet to me, but only me. I've been trying to find someone that she likes and so far, if it's not me, she doesn't want anything to do with them. She's not particularly fond of men, but given time she may warm up. She definetly does not like people of color, I do not know her history before I took her in so it could be that it's just a trigger for her that we can work out. I think she needs a female caretaker, probably without any kids at least until she gets better relaxed. She is INCREDIBLY protective of me and her turf. I have tried everything I know to do to socialize her. I need somewhere for her to go. But I need someone who is going to take some time and help her through it. I want to give her the best chance she can have. I know that right now, I am not her best option. She needs a lot of tlc. She needs time to unwind wherever she goes, simply because she is so anxious.
