About Lexi

**Fostered in the Renton, WA area** Lexi came from a severe hording and neglect case is a rural area of TX. She came to the rescue with little know about her history (medical or training). Lexi has been in a home now for a bit and we have learned some about her, please read below. Lexi is up for anything- she's perfectly fine napping all day and has also done 2 mile walks. She will even race when we say 'ready, set, go!' Lexi is incredibly sweet and only barks because of separation anxiety. She's doing better with house training, but isn't completely there yet. She quickly mapped out our house and does not need much guidance except for stairs - she can walk up and down them on her own, but should probably be watched when stepping down since she has no depth perception. She loves sniffing grass and would do well in a fenced yard since she doesn't seem to know her name yet and will wander and not really sense animals/holes/people until they're nearby. For her left eye, Neo Poly Dex Opthm. solution needs to be administered for life unless the eye is removed (vet's recommendation). For her right eye, she was prescribed Flurbiprofen until she can see an ophthalmologist (we are unsure if we can financially provide at this time). The vet estimates she is at least 7 years old based on her teeth. Exam Notes - Weight: 12.5 lbs, ears - look clean. Left eye - chronic injured eye, non-visual eye, right eye - cataracts. ~7 years old estimate Adoption fee is $350 to cover the cost of vetting and her transport from the rescue in TX to WA.
