About Wall-E

Adoption Fee: $200
Chihuahua mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

***Wall-E is available for foster to adopt. You can take him into your home to see if you believe his needs are something you can handle. Everything he'll need will be provided to you but you will not be committing to keep him permanently and you will not have to pay an adoption fee unless you decide to adopt him.*** Wall-E is a sweet boy who is looking for a very special family, because he is a special dog! Wall-E was hit by a car 2 years ago and he did not receive any vet care following the incident. This unfortunately caused Wall-E to lose most of the use of his back legs. He is currently getting rehab treatment to try and help him get some strength back. Unfortunately because of how long ago the incident happened, it will make his rehab take longer, and be less effective than it might have been if started earlier. BUT he is definitely making progress! See the attached music video for clips of his rehab (and other cute events)! Wall-E is good with people and will greet new people with the song of his people! He is also good with most other dogs (not a fan of large dogs). He has never met a kitty cat but we believe he would be okay with them too! Due to his injuries Wall-E is incontinent, so we're looking for someone willing to accommodate that. You'll want him to wear a diaper when he's in the house. He also doesn't always know when he has to defecate (or more accurately, he realizes it too late) but he does try to run to the door. You can tell when he's going to though, because his tail starts to vibrate. Wall-E's adoption includes lots of goodies: ~ His wheelchair ~ A drag bag (for when he's outside and not using his wheelchair) ~ Washable diapers (3) and their washable liners (10) ~ Disposable diapers (for adventures away from home or in between laundry days) (50 minimum) ~ Cleansing wipes (needed for his back legs and feet) (100 minimum) ~ Some of the food he is currently eating; you can use it to transition him to your preferred brand or just to get you stared (we us Diamond Naturals). ~ Lots of toys! He loves them! ~ 2 dog beds We are looking for a family with experience owning paralyzed/special needs dogs, or one willing to put in the work/time/patience. He needs someone who will continue working on his rehab. We can show you the exercises we do with him. He is a really sweet boy and worth it! Please let us know if you have any questions! PLEASE NOTE: We do require an adoption application be completed before meet and greets. We also require home visits before adoptions. A meet and greet can be done at your home and count as the home visit. Thank you!
