About Bardot

Adoption Fee: $225.00
Maine Coon / Domestic Cat
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Female

This naturally luminous beauty is Bardot. Bardot was born outside at an auto body shop/car dealership between March 31st and April 2nd. She and her three siblings were accidentally found in an old dilapidated truck on Easter Sunday, April 4th, when a gentlemen interested in purchasing the truck opened the driver's side door. As they were teeny tiny and their umbilical cords were still attached they were not more than a few days old. Her hiding place having been disturbed Momma Cat, Bacall, began moving the kittens to a safer space. For nine weeks I trekked to the site to be sure that Mom and kittens were well fed. On Monday, May 18th the Mother Cat and putative Daddy Cat brought their children out for the first time for me to see. Bardot, her white calico coat with black and orange spots put on a show, jumping, hopping and skipping showing an exuberance for all things kitten. On Memorial Day I caught a quick glimpse of what I thought was Bardot's sister, Burke peering through a tiny opening in a shed located on the property. So traps baited and placed directly in front of the shed I sat in my car and waited. Almost instantaneously Bardot bounded out and made a beeline for the food in the trap. Undaunted when the trap door slammed behind her as she tripped the trigger, Bardot continued her meal. Even her swollen eyes rimmed in red due to an upper respiratory infection did not slow her down. Since being trapped Bergie has acclimated well to life on the inside. She was treated for her URI with both eye drops and a liquid antibiotic and is no longer feeling puny. Bardot is still an exuberant kitten, playing with toys and romping with remaining sibling Burke and another kitten named O'Malley. She is a fan of the feather wand and her vertical leaping ability is unmatched. Once done playing Bardot enjoys naps on pillows in her egg chair and human snuggle time. She has perfected biscuit making so much so that the human often needs a blanket to protect her legs. Bardot has been combo tested and is negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. She is spayed, rabies and distemper vaccinated and microchipped . While she can be a little shy initially when meeting new humans , she warms up quickly and loves to be petted and purrs to show her happiness. If you are interested in becoming this little ones' human, please feel free to contact me. I do when possible like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters
