About Bingo

Meet Bingo! Bingo was surrendered to us when his elderly owner was no longer able to care for him. He is a 10-year-old, 12 pound, very sweet Chihuahua with the most adorable ears! Bingo is still adjusting to the change in his life and can be shy and nervous in new situations, but he always loves his people, and it's impossible not to love him back. He attaches very quickly and will want to be with you always. Bingo is happiest curled up right next you. His foster mom says sometimes if he wakes up from a nap and he doesn't see her right away, he gets very anxious. This could just be because he's gone through a lot of change lately and he's still not 100% sure in his surroundings. Either way he would be best in a home with a retired or stay at home person or family. He definitely looks to his person for comfort, especially in new situations which can make him shake for a few minutes before he settles down. Bingo gets along well with all the other dogs in his foster home, but cats and kids are an unknown. We think he would also be fine as an only dog, as long as he has a person around him most of the time. He will sit and wait for you to come home, and doesn't get into any mischief when left on his own. He prefers to sleep in the big bed, snuggled up with you. Bingo is housebroken, and is learning to use the doggy door to go out and potty. He will go to the door to tell you it's time to go. He would likely be okay without a fenced yard but will need to be kept on a leash. Bingo is hard of hearing and will not hear you call him. He does respond to loud noises, like a door slamming, so he's not entirely deaf, but enough that he should always be leashed outside to keep him safe. Bingo is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He does need a dental, which will be scheduled at one of our vets and is covered by the rescue. Bingo will be a loving companion for some lucky person!
